There will always be reservations when a favorite show returns for a second season. Will the magic of the past be captured once again?
Change to some extent is always inevitable and Fate: The Winx Saga is no exception.
Created by Brian Young, the imaginative fantasy series is based on the Nickelodeon animated series winx club and premiered on Netflix in 2021, gaining new fans and pleasing some familiar with the source material.
He returned on Friday, September 16, 2022, reintroducing us to Bloom as she navigated the Otherworld with her friends and fellow fairies, fending off the threat of the Scorched.
However, there is one rather jarring change to address… Rosalind.

Who plays Rosalind in Fate: The Winx Saga season 2?
Headmistress Rosalind is played by Miranda Richardson in the second season of Fate: The Winx Saga.
Lesley Sharp tackled the role in the first season but did not return to reprise the role.
While an official reason for the redesign has not been addressed, it may be due to scheduling. The Winx saga has seen production delays in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Variety reports. Working on Season 2 might not have been possible with Lesley’s busy schedule.
Nonetheless, Miranda Richardson is an incredibly capable performer who is more than up to the task. Indeed, you may recognize it in many places…

Miranda Richardson is our new Rosalind
The 64-year-old English actress has starred in a host of projects in both film and TV for decades.
She is perhaps best remembered for playing numerous characters in the comedy series Rowan Atkinson black viperincluding Queenie.
On the other hand, film roles include The crying game (she played Jude), Spider (Yvonne), Hours (Vanessa Bell) sleepy hollow (Lady Van Tassel), and The Phantom of the Opera (Ms Giry).
You can also know her from recent shows such as good omens (Ms. Tracy) and Curfew (Lou Collins).
“Miranda had shoes to fill”
Abigail Cowen (Bloom) recently spoke to the Radio Times and shared her thoughts on the casting swap:
“They are both lovely, lovely actresses and lovely people. And I absolutely enjoyed my time with Lesley, and now I absolutely enjoyed my time with Miranda. Miranda had shoes to fill and she did just that and did an amazing job, and was just a joy to work with.
She added: “She knows her stuff and has been doing it for a while, so I felt very lucky to be able to work with her.”
