Who is Mary in Ginny & Georgia?

Mary is Georgia because her birth name is actually Mary Atkins.

This was revealed in Season 1 when Georgia’s sister Maddie unexpectedly showed up in Episode 5 and called her Mary instead of Georgia.

Ginny had no idea that her mother’s birth name was Mary or that she even had a sister, which only heightened her suspicions and trust issues as the scale of the hidden secrets of Georgia was starting to get clear.

Having Ginny use Mary’s name as a threat against Georgia is a way for her to show that her mother is being hypocritical in wanting Ginny to be honest with her because she has told Paul almost nothing about her own troubled past.
