Lockwood & Co. is the last netflix teen supernatural drama, based on Jonathan Stroud’s beloved young adult novel series. It was adapted for the screen by Joe Cornish of Attack the block acclaimed and was highly anticipated after long intervals between its original announcement, confirmation that Netflix had acquired it, the start of production and the start of the show. But now it’s here! Between the eight episodes here, which collapse two of Stroud’s books, The screaming staircase and The whispering skull, and the potential for the future with more novels to adapt, fans have plenty to chew on.
The story revolves around an alternate reality in London in which “The problemhas reshaped society around ghostly “visitors” who haunt the living at night. These ghosts can only be detected and fought by children with “Talents”, which gradually fade as they enter adulthood. This means that children and adolescents are propelled to the forefront in the fight against these supernatural entities, and various agencies have been created to train and organize these children. One such agency is the Fittes agency, and another is the incumbent Lockwood & Co.
Who is Bobby Vernon in Lockwood and Co?
One of the characters that viewers are interested in is Bobby Vernon, who is a member of Quill Kipps’ team at the Fittes agency. He is the team’s researcher, which essentially makes him the Fittes equivalent of George.
Bobby has little to do throughout the first season, although he tends to show up when the rest of Kipps’ team does. They figure most prominently in the final seasonwhen Kipps is kidnapped by Joplin and the rest of his team, with help from Anthony, must battle Winkman and his henchmen.
Little is known about Bobby. One of the most remarkable things about him is that Lucy Carlyle describes him as “very small”.
Who plays Bobby Vernon?
Bobby Vernon is played by Paddy Holland, the younger brother of Tom Holland, which may very well explain why people got so into his character. Tom is obviously best known for playing Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while Paddy is probably Apple TV+’s most recognizable. Invasionin which he played Monty.
