His latest film was released on Netflix on Friday, June 24, 2022, and comes from director Patrick Hughes, best known for helming The Hitman’s Bodyguard and its sequel, Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.

Alongside Woody Harrelson, Kevin’s Teddy Jackson is forced to partner with an assassin after a case of mistaken identity and confusion at an Airbnb.

As viewers relax and enjoy the adventure, some will be curious about the filming locations. So where was The Man From Toronto filmed?

Where was The Man From Toronto filmed?

The Man From Toronto was filmed in the titular capital of the province of Ontario, Canada.

However, Daily Hive reports that the movie was not originally going to be shot in Toronto. In fact, they were supposed to shoot in the United States but had to change their plans in response to the covid-19 pandemic.

So, the change was announced by the director of the film and they got to work shooting the project between October and December 2022.

Diving into specific locations, we first have Brampton, a city in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with footage filmed at a Go station. For those unfamiliar, Go Transit is the transportation service regional pool for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Additionally, they were spotted filming in the Heart Lake Conservation Area.

Not only that, but Daily Hive points out that a cabin was built by the lake especially for the production.

There’s more where it came from

As the film progresses, we see Milton in Southern Ontario as Main Street makes the final cut of a series of footage as well as the Ivy Arms Pub at 201 Main St East.

Then, last but not least, many downtown Toronto regulars might notice that a few places have arrived.

These include Lake Shore Boulevard, the King Edward Hotel on King and Victoria Streets, the Gardiner Expressway Underpass and, according to Storeys, the CBC Building at 250 Front Street West.
