With crime in Granite City on the rise and chaos threatening to overwhelm the population, 13-year-old Sam Cleary thinks the city needs a hero.
The young boy suspects that his mysterious and reclusive neighbor, Joe Smith, may be the answer to Granite City’s prayers, believing him to be the legendary super-powered vigilante, Samaritan, who disappeared after a fierce battle 25 years earlier.
Despite Joe’s reluctance, Sam makes it his mission to get his neighbor out of hiding before the town is completely ruined.

Samaritan was filmed at multiple locations in and around the city of Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
The film’s production started in February 2020 but had to be halted after a few weeks due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. After a long delay, filming finally resumed in October 2020.
According to The Cinemaholic, filming took place in a number of locations around the city, including downtown Atlanta and the city’s business district, as well as the famous Walden Building and nearby Auburn Avenue. .
