We recap the Netflix series Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 Episode 3, “Pieces of the Gods”, which will contain major spoilers.

Vikings: Walhalla Season 2 definitely has a way with its history. The writers have done well to separate our main characters again, but make their individual stories just as impactful. There’s an unknown where this story will go, but it’s still appealing. You can also say that this is the middle installment of three seasons. We have a feeling that Season 2 will lay the groundwork for the third and final season.

In Jomsborg, Freydis is curious why no one is allowed to enter the temple. Gudrid tells her that only people who speak to the gods can enter and that she is not in Uppsala. Eventually, Freydis questions their ways and allows a young girl to train for combat. They would usually never allow it because she is not an ancestor but a refugee. Gudrid watches, worried that Freydis is trying to change things. Later, while Freydis is resting, a woman calls out to him — the girl’s mother (Hrefna) who was training for combat – her daughter was taken to the cemetery. Freydis is angry and she confronts Jorundr – she asks him the way to the graveyard to save her.
