After the epic fantasy adventure of The Rings Of Power, Prime Video is wasting no time switching genres for its new series, the sci-fi thriller The Peripheral.

Starring Chloë Grace Moretz, the series features some of the creative minds that brought HBO’s Westworld series to our screens and so it goes without saying that production values ​​and expectations are high.

However, only the first two chapters of The Peripheral were released on launch day, which left fans eager for more – but when did Episode 3 hit Prime Video and what viewers can- they expect?

Recap of episodes 1 and 2 of The Peripheral

The first two episodes of The Peripheral premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, October 21, 2022.

Based on the book of the same name by William Gibson, the first episodes introduce us to Flynne Fisher, a young woman who lives with her Navy veteran brother, Burton, and their dying mother in a small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The year is 2032 and to pay their mother’s ever-increasing medical bills, Flynne and Burton earn extra money playing simulations (known as The Sims) and eventually Flynne gets the chance to test a new Sim who sees her stealing a precious secret. from a company known as the Research Institute, based in futuristic London.

However, Flynne quickly learns that this particular Sim isn’t a futuristic video game at all, but rather a time machine that transports her to London in the year 2099.

With the story taking place in two locations over two time periods, Flynne is forced to ally herself with Wilf in the future as she is recruited to help search for the elusive Aelita.

The Peripheral episode 3 preview

Episode 3 of The Peripheral will be released on Friday, October 28, 2022.

Titled Haptic Drift, the episode should see Flynne get drawn deeper into the mystery she’s become entangled in as Wilf and his newfound allies question her about her relationship with Corbell Pickett.

Meanwhile, as the search for Aelita continues, the forces amassed against Flynne continue to grow as her part in this plot threatens to put her in even greater danger.

For fans who want to watch Episode 3 of The Peripheral as soon as it is released, viewers will be able to watch the new episode starting at midnight US Eastern Time.

How many episodes in total?

The Peripheral will consist of eight episodes in total.

However, like many major Prime Video shows, not all episodes were released at once as the series uses a weekly release schedule.

The first two chapters landed on October 21, and the rest will follow each Friday until December 2.

This means that The Peripheral’s full release schedule is as follows:
