The Outlaws season 2 episode 3 recap
The business is booming Outlaws. Selling drugs to high-priced lawyers, out-of-cage students, and club patrons. Rani oversees the operation. John manages customer satisfaction. Both Gregory and Frank are in charge of a dual money laundering scheme. The latter goes to the casino, and the previously mentioned one uses Gabby to make sure he’s perfectly clean. And Miriam? She distributes flyers that do not do drugs to all customers.
While business is good, remember that The Michael Scott Paper Company published years ago Office. As production increases, costs increase and you will have to take on more customers, which means more overhead. Ben makes a deal with two kids to give them five books for every possible “seller” they find. However, there is another problem. Using Gabby, the casino and another shell company created by Gregory is insufficient without attracting attention. No one can launder and wash so much money. Rani and company have become the Pablo Escobar of the West.
However, things do not go as planned. Rani wants to ignore most of Ben’s objections to the new drug dealers. One of them robs Gregory’s colleague, Spencer, at knifepoint. Yes, Rani has to control her employees. Spencer then goes to the police to get them to sign her insurance form, but Haines hears how the “robbery” happened and pulls him inside for questioning because she says it looks like Drugs. Spencer relents but then relents and offers a description.
The police catch the 18-year-old psychopath. Christian hears about the arrest and calls Rani and Ben to yell at them. He doesn’t believe his ears. These two hired this kid and let their new recruits see his face! This adult child will be charged with a minimum of 10 years in prison so they quickly turn on Rani and Ben. Haines, stoic and cold, questions the child. She tells them about the horrors of prison. He was about to give up on everyone when Gregory bursts in to offer him a free lawyer.
Meanwhile, Gabby is accused of being a white savior and white supremacist for supporting BJC on an Instagram page. As Gabby issues a statement apologizing for her insensitive comments about being a white savior, Myrna walks out and refuses to let her resign from the BJC. Then John tries to get his job back, but his father refuses. He wants him to straighten up by his boots like he did. (I don’t know why John doesn’t mention that he invested a lot of money in the business and made his own power game).
The end
The episode ends with Rani and Ben threatening Spencer to drop the charges, which he does. Crisis averted, for now. And for once, Haines isn’t keeping calm. However, do you remember when the team sent random text messages to boost business? Well, one went to Haines’ partner. They have now found a new lead and set up a sting to take pictures of a drug depot they have set up.
