Is Max blind in Stranger Things?

Yes, although Eleven managed to save his life at the last moment, Max was blinded by Vecna before dying for about a minute – as Lucas later explained.

Sadie Sink sheds light on ‘awkward’ scene with Dacre Montgomery

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Sadie Sink, 20, recalled the emotional scene in Season 4 Part 1 between Max and the ghost of her brother Billy.

Due to the pandemic, Sink revealed that the scene had to be shot with Montgomery working remotely on the other side of the world:

“It was definitely the most difficult [scene] I think I’ve had it done on Stranger Things before, just because a lot of the relationship between Max and Billy comes from the on-screen chemistry that me and Dacre have.

Sink explained the groundwork the pair did together in Season 2 and how it impacted that important Season 4 scene:

“Being used to working with him and reading with him for two seasons now, and then having to do a very important scene with him but not having him there, that was definitely very tricky.”
