Who is your favorite character in Better Call Saul?
Jimmy? Kim? Mike? Howard? Sorry, maybe it was a little too early for the latter.
Created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, the beloved Breaking Bad spin-off and prequel was unveiled in 2015, with some audiences claiming it’s actually better than its predecessor.
A host of familiar characters return while incredible new additions have been introduced into the mix over the six seasons.
It’s hard to choose a favorite. However, chances are no one will say it’s Lyle (played by Harrison Thomas). Until now, maybe?
After Episode 8 of Season 6, Better Call Saul’s Lyle is arguably getting more attention than ever before…

Better Call Saul’s Lyle progresses
In the mid-season premiere of the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul, Gustavo Fring finds himself a little concerned about the escalating violence simmering over the final episodes.
However, it is Gus we are talking about. With their obsessive attention to detail and determination to keep up appearances, Los Pollos Hermanos isn’t going to take care of themselves.
While being treated for a gunshot wound, he calls Lyle, who is opening the restaurant at the time of the call.
Gus tells Lyle that he’s been called out of town on a family emergency and will “have to act as store manager” in his absence. That means he’ll have to open and close two days in a row, but that doesn’t deter Lyle.
He accepts and Gus asks him to send next week’s program by the next day. Ending the phone call, Gus tells Lyle “the restaurant is in your good hands.”

“I want to see a spin-off”
The reaction to this scene has already been pretty hilarious, with some fans praising Lyle for his work ethic and loyalty to his boss, hoping he’ll rise through the ranks to become the top dog in Los Pollos.
Others are even calling for a spinoff starring Lyle as the director of the meth empire that Gus established so well.

Is Lyle in Breaking Bad?
No, Lyle wasn’t in Breaking Bad, and his absence has encouraged some to wonder why there’s a new manager at Los Pollos Hermanos during the events unfolding after Better Call Saul.
Could this cause Lyle problems for the rest of the season? After all, no one we don’t see in Breaking Bad feels safe right now.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
