Meet the cast of Seoul Vibe, the team of talented actors and actresses behind the wheel of Netflix’s new fast-paced ’80s action flick.

Seoul Vibe is Netflix’s latest South Korean standalone film and if early reviews are any indication, the film was a smash hit with fans looking for brainless, full-throttle entertainment.

While cars and music may catch your eye, special kudos should go to the cast of South Korean actors and actresses who really bring the 1980s to life.

So who are the Seoul Vibe cast, what did they star in before the new Netflix movie, and where can you follow them on Instagram?

Yoo Ah-in as Dong-wook

Yoo Ah-in is an actor, director and gallery owner from Daegu, in the southeast of South Korea.

He made his professional debut in a television commercial in 2003, but it wasn’t until 2010 with his performance in Sungkyunkwan Scandal that he broke into mainstream media.

The 35-year-old’s most famous roles include Yi Bang Won in Six Flying Dragons (2015-16), Lee Jong-su in Burning (2018) and Crown Prince Sado in The Throne (2015).

Fans of Netflix’s Korean dramas will also recognize Ah-in for her performances as zombie apocalypse survivor Oh Joon-woo in #Alive (2020) and cult leader Jung Jin-su in Hellbound (2021). .

Speaking via Korea JoongAng Daily about Seoul Vive, the lead actor noted how “I didn’t know much about cars before shooting the movie,” he said. “I spent a lot of time on the circuit and inside the race cars to familiarize myself with my role.

Go Kyung-pyo as Woo-sam

Go Kyung-pyo is an actor and comedian from Incheon, South Korea.

The 32-year-old first made a name for himself through his three-season stint on Saturday Night Live Korea.

However, his big acting push came from the hit series Reply 1988 (2015), Coin Locker Girl (2015) and Don’t Dare to Dream (2016).

Jyung-pyo then starred in Chicago Typewriter (2017), Private Lives (2020) and Decision to Leave (2022) – with an additional guest appearance as Sanshin on the hit series My Roommate Is a Gumiho.

He plays a future DJ in Seoul Vibe, revealing in a recent interview how he even bought his own set of turntables to practice before production. “It’s fun actually, although I don’t use it too much these days because I’m busy,” he added.

Lee Kyu-hyung as Bok-nam

Lee Kyu-hyung is a South Korean actor, mainly specializing in musical theater, originally from Seoul.

The 38-year-old would make his professional debut in 2001, with subsequent roles in plays and smaller musical productions.

His big breakthrough came playing Yoon Se-won in Stranger (2017-20) and as Yoo Han-yang in Prison Playbook.

Netflix K-drama fans will also recognize the actor for his roles in Hospital Playlist (2021), Racket Boys (2021) and All of Us Are Dead (2022).

Park Ju-hyun as Yoon-hee

Park Ju-hyun hails from Busan and is arguably one of the fastest rising stars in the Korean drama industry.

The 27-year-old debuted in The Dude In Me (2019) but would go viral after a stellar 2020 when she starred in A Piece of Your Mind, Zombie Detective and Extracurricular.

She then appeared in Mouse (2021) and Love App Play (2022); she is also set to be a main character in the upcoming series, The Forbidden Marriage, which is expected to debut before the end of 2022.

Ong Seong-wu as Joon-ki

Ong Seong-wu is a singer and actor from Incheon, South Korea, who is best known for finishing 5th in the survival reality series Produce 101 season 2 and a former member of boy band Wanna One.

After a successful music career, the 26-year-old moved into acting and made his professional debut in 2019 as part of the cast of At Eighteen.

He has since featured in films like Would You Like a Cup of Coffee? (2020), More Than Friends (2020), in addition to several varied roles like Master Key, Loving Together in Empty Room and Traveler.

Seong-wu is a face you should remember, with the young actor set to play lead characters in 20th Century Girl and Life Is Beautiful (both due out in 2022), as well as Strong Woman Gang Nam-soon, Jung’s Ranch and Starlight Falls (all for 2023).
