Resident Evil Soundtrack: All Songs From The Netflix Series

July 14, 2022

The music for a movie or TV show can often make or break the final product, as the choice of songs or cinematic score can add just the right feeling to each scene.

While Netflix’s Resident Evil may have bigger fish to fry – given the success of the video game adaptations – the series still understands the need for well-placed music, and as such it’s full of familiar pieces.

But what songs feature on the Resident Evil soundtrack, and who composed the show’s spooky score?

Resident Evil crawled onto Netflix on Thursday, July 14, 2022.

Taking place over two time periods, 2022 and 2036, Resident Evil tells the story of sisters Jade and Billie Wesker.

In the present of 2036, Jade fights for her survival after most of humanity has been turned into Bloodlust Infected following the spread of a deadly bio-weapon called the T-virus.

While Jade is at the center of a global manhunt, led by the sinister Umbrella Corporation, she is also haunted by memories of her past in 2022, the year of the outbreak.

Alongside her sister in 2022, Jade and Billie uncover dark secrets about their origins and their father’s connection to society that would continue to hunt Jade 14 years later.

Who composed the score?

Along with a slew of licensed songs, Resident Evil also uses its cinematic score, which is the work of composer Gregory Reveret.

The French-born musician began his career in music as a touring EDM artist before making his first foray into the world of songwriting in 2008 for the series SupaStrikas.

Since then, Gregory has been working with artist Deadmau5 for the show where is the drop while he’s also featured in the music department of a host of huge projects, including The Mandalorian, Teen Wolf, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Minions, Deadpool, Furious 7 and Avengers: Age of Ultron where he did everything from composing the trailer to assisting in the score.

The complete Resident Evil series score is set to be released on July 15th while a piece of the series, Venus Flytrap, came out early and is available on Spotify and Apple Music.

Resident Evil is available to stream now on Netflix after releasing on July 14, 2022.
