Pamela Anderson has opened up about her former relationship with a French footballer in a new Netflix documentary.
Pamela, A Love Story (stylized Pamela, A Love Story) offers the former Baywatch star a chance to reclaim her narrative. The documentary was released on Netflix on January 31, almost exactly one year after Hulu’s Pam & Tommy was released. This miniseries, which Anderson discussed in the new documentary, has not been renewed for a second season.
Anderson has had several high-profile relationships during her time in the spotlight. But a relationship with an unnamed football player sparked intrigue after Anderson revealed details of their romance in the documentary.

In Pamela, A Love Story, the former Baywatch actress references a relationship with a “professional athlete.”
“When the kids graduated, I wanted to go to the south of France,” Anderson explains in the documentary. “So I went and met a professional athlete. He was very strong and he was very jealous. Pamela Anderson then explains that she separated from him, without ever naming her former partner.
This part of the documentary features tabloid news segments referencing the dated athlete Anderson as a “French football star”.

Who did French footballer Pamela Anderson date?
From 2017 to 2018, Pamela Anderson had a romantic relationship with French footballer Adil Rami. She even moved to France in 2018 so she could be with the World Cup winner. Rami played for Marseille while the pair were out.
Speaking to The Sun at the time, Anderson gushed about his partner: “He’s fantastic. I love it, of course. You have to be very brave and enjoy things.
“Let’s be in love as long as we’re in love and if there’s one day you look at me and say ‘ugh’, well, I can always go and live in another country,” Anderson continued.
Anderson split from Adil Rami in September 2018 after a year of dating, Page Six reports. They briefly got together in the early summer of 2019 and were spotted together at several events in France, as seen below. But they eventually split in June 2019, with Anderson accusing Rami of “living a double life” in an Instagram post. Rami also denied allegations that he was abusive.
“I have videos and photos that can refute what she said. It’s over and I don’t want to be linked to her anymore,” Adil Rami told French newspaper Le Figaro in 2020, reports The Sun.

Adil Rami played football for Marseille while dating Anderson but has since moved to Ligue 1 side ES Troyes AC, where he is currently captain.
Rami was born on December 27, 1985 in Bastia, France. He started as a youngster at ES Fréjus at the age of nine. Rami, now 37, began his professional career with senior team Étoile Fréjus Saint-Raphaël in 2003. Over the past two decades, he has played for AC Milan, Valence, Seville and Sochi in Russia.
The former couple reportedly dated when Adil Rami was part of France’s World Cup-winning squad in the summer of 2018.
