The Outlaws season 2 episode 5 recap

The Outlaws have finally completed their task after three episodes. Rani, Ben and company managed to sell enough drugs to repay the hundreds of thousands of pounds Ben stole from the Dean and John, Frank and Myram stole and spent. Everyone is happy, and a huge sense of relief that the dark cloud above their heads has lifted. Everyone is relieved. Rani and Ben have dinner with their parents. They approve the loan they have set aside for their child’s education at Oxford.

Except that we have almost two full episodes left. I don’t think they will only include those people reunited with their families. Is it so fun to watch them lead happier lives? So when they bring out the dessert, she gets a call from the Dean asking where the $10,000 is because it’s missing. A puzzled Rani insists they had the full payment when it was transferred today. Well, the dean doesn’t take her word for it. Rani is now 24 hours old. Otherwise, she will be an orphan like him. But don’t be mad at The Dean. He fitted in to deliver bad news on his birthday.

What happened? From what I can decipher and may be wrong, Gabby stopped a payment during the transaction which left them short. Or maybe the dean just wanted to test them. Either way, they’re in trouble. That’s when John produces a plan for “lightning” deals to their most preferred customers. It’s starting to work, but there are two problems. First, detectives are monitoring the increased trade and Haines has received the plastic egg Dianne found at the community center.

Plus, Gabby is on Instagram when she spots the local Bristol drug dealers. She is doing a live stream with Spencer. Why is this important? Because after finding out that Gregory was using him to launder money through BJC and a front company he created. Haines and Selforth see the stream, figure out she’s talking about Gregory, and make the connection that he was Christian’s lawyer and the kid they arrested for stealing drugs.

While the team collects the money, Gregory must sneak into a sex club bar with a secret password. Why? Well, yeah, the man needs some stress relief, but he followed Gabby there and still needs to talk to her. He goes up to the third floor using a lamppost like a praying mantis. That’s when we see Haines’ partner, Selforth, getting out of his car to locate Gabby. He must reach her before him.

The end

When Gregory finally finds her, after walking through a floor of very dedicated S&M workers, they talk outside, and he admits everything except that he never throws his friends under the bus. When he blurts out all the things going on, blackmail, drug dealing and threats from a London mobster, Gabby asks him to explain himself. It turns out that the only real family and friends she’s had are her fellow outlaws. When she confronts them all at the community center, she tells them she’s not mad that they used her. She is angry that they did not ask her for help.

The Outlaws are now in the dark. The Dean thanks them for their hard work and is grateful to them. However, he is not done with them. Even after Rani and Ben object, he gives them 10 pounds of pure cocaine and wants them to sell it. The Dean doesn’t take no for an answer.
