Netflix’s latest k-drama offering is Extraordinary Prosecutor Wooa charming comedy-drama about a young woman with autism spectrum disorder who joins a major law firm and faces a healthy dose of irrational prejudice alongside her legal affairs.
The first two episodes focused on establishing the series’ structure, tone, and characters, so here’s where we are after the first week:
Episode 1: “The title’s advocate extraordinaire is Woo Young-woo, the only blue duck among a flock of yellow ones, at least according to the episode’s opening visual metaphor. Like most people with ASD, Young-woo was diagnosed young, at age five, with his Asperger syndrome manifesting as socially quiet and reserved, but also a genius in many ways and an obsessive lover of whales.
Episode 2: “But love always ends up winning, right? Hwa-young, it turns out, is actually in love with her friend, and when she finally speaks for herself, the whole lawsuit is thrown out and she happily leaves – her father less, naturally, but the heart wills. whatever the heart wants, which I guess is a fitting conclusion for an episode of a show like this.

Extraordinary Prosecutor Woo Episode 3 is set to air on Wednesday, July 6, with Extraordinary Prosecutor Woo Episode 4 aired the next day, Thursday July 7.
