Locke and Key season 3, episode 3 recap
Kinsey and Bode go to inspect the broken bars in the shaft, and they wonder who could have done the damage. When alone, Kinsey looks down the well and sees Eden’s body. Shortly after, Zadie, Doug and Abbey ask what they should do with Erin’s body. One of them suggests pouring acid there, but then Kinsey says she knows what they need to do. Elsewhere, Bode accuses Nina of forgetting her father. So, Nina uses the Head key so that Bode can relive one of the memories. But when Nina makes them leave quickly enough, Bode throws a tantrum.
Kinsey, Abbey, Zadie and Doug, take Eden’s body out for a send off; and Kinsey then sings a song. And then, they throw Eden into the ocean. When Ellie returns to work, she overhears two professors chatting about her disappearance and supposed nervous breakdown. Ellie confronts one of the teachers, Cindy, and clears her up before storming out of school. At the museum, Tyler recognizes the outfit as the same item of clothing one of the “intruders” was wearing the night he found them rummaging through the house. Captain Frederick Gideon goes to the museum and comes across Josh and tries to find out where the missing items are.
When Captain Frederick Gideon learns that the missing items are now stored in the library, he, James, and Samuel take back their items and kill one of the library employees. Tyler goes to the police station and learns that Kinsey never reported the burglary. Back home, Bode finally finds the Timeshift key; while Nina goes into her memories and ruins Christmas by being too drunk. Kinsey rapes Nina by coming across her memories. Nina wants to relive the memories because they are different from how she remembered them. But Kinsey tells Nina to stop torturing herself.
Tyler confronts Kinsey for not reporting the “burglary”. And Bode uses the Timeshift key. It transports to when Dodge and Eden attempted to kidnap. But as Bode becomes full of himself and tells Dodge and Eden that he’s from the future and knows they’re losing, has he changed everything for the worse? The third episode of Locke and Key ends with Dodge following Bode in the current timeline; soon after, Dodge traps Bode and takes control of his body.
Even though Bode is one of the good characters in Locke and Key, it’s good to see him being trapped. By being bratty towards Nina and refusing to listen, he may have caused his family a lot of trouble.
