It’s already been a big year for movies on Netflix and we’re only halfway there.
Hustle, donkey 4.5and Secondary year are all recent efforts that audiences have embraced, but the latest one has a significant upside on its side…
Of course, we’re talking about Kevin Hart, the immensely popular American actor and comedian best known for bringing laughs in movies like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Central intelligence and Along.
His latest is an action comedy in which he plays Teddy Jackson, a depressed individual who is forced to work with an assassin after mistaken identity in an Airbnb.
Alongside Woody Harrelson (zombieland), it’s a wild ride that will leave many of you wanting more. Given this, is The Man from Toronto sequel confirmed?

Is The Man from Toronto Sequel Confirmed?
No, neither Netflix nor the creators of The Man from Toronto have confirmed immediately.
While this may be discouraging for fans, don’t let it be. The film was only unveiled on the platform on Friday, June 24, 2022, so it’s probably far too early to expect any concrete news.
As tends to be the case, it’s likely that Netflix will be watching the streaming numbers closely to determine if the film is successful enough to warrant another release.
The streaming service doesn’t release viewership numbers to the public, so the best determinant of a project’s success is whether and how well it ranks in the Top 10 category. It’s currently #1 in the movies category in a number of territories, which is an encouraging sign.
If a sequel is greenlit, we predict the news could reach fans as early as July 2022.
As for whether the film’s ending leaves things open for a sequel, it’s absolutely possible to bring the characters back for another adventure.

“I certainly think it lends itself to further investigation”
Director Patrick Hughes is no stranger to sequels, having helmed both The Hitman’s Bodyguard and Bodyguard for the hitman’s wife.
Netflix Life recently asked him if he would consider parting ways with his latest with a potential sequel or spinoff:
“Oh absolutely, I had so much fun working with Kevin and Woody and the cast. It was a lot of laughs when the camera wasn’t rolling and I certainly think it lends itself to further investigation into the relationship between these two.
Another encouraging sign and the chemistry between Woody and Kevin would make a sequel an attractive project to pursue.
