Looking back, it’s safe to say that 2020 is a year most would rather forget. However, the year still offered a slew of new series to keep us entertained and the one we will fondly remember is Hunters. Created by David Weil, it provided an exhilarating and immersive episodic experience that fans were eager to see continue.
Premiering in February 2020, the show focused on Nazi hunters living in New York City in 1977. They learn that Nazis who escaped punishment are now working to create a Fourth Reich in America and they are determined to prevent their plans.
With performances from Al Pacino, Lena Olin and Logan Lerman, it turned out to be an absolute blast. Speaking of performances, new episodes landed Friday, January 13, and viewers will be wondering who Adolf Hitler plays in Hunters Season 2.

Who plays Hitler in Hunters season 2?
Adolf Hitler is portrayed by legendary German actor Udo Kier and he first appears in Hunters season 2 episode 1.
The 78-year-old character should be recognizable for a wide range of roles throughout his long career, having shown his talents in more than 200 films and worked with iconic filmmakers from Werner Herzog to Lars von Trier.
Well-known film roles include Halloween (he played Morgan Walker in the 2007 remake), Blade (Dragonetti), Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (Camp), Bacurau (Michael), Dragged Across Concrete (Friedrich), and Swan Song ( Pat Pitsenbarger).
He was also in The Kingdom TV series and returned in the recent revival season, The Kingdom: Exodus.
Not only that, but Udo played Hitler in the 1989 film 100 Jahre Adolf Hitler – Die Letzte Stunde Im Führerbunker and the 2022 film My Neighbor Adolf, so it’s not the first time he’s tackled the role. .

“It was incredibly vital that he was pure evil incarnate”
The Hunters creator was recently interviewed by The New York Times while promoting Season 2 and was asked about the pros and cons of having a dramatic portrayal of Hitler on a show:
“If you’re going to introduce the most evil individual in history, it comes with an incredible responsibility. And so I wanted to make sure we captured his abilities: anger, power, bloodlust – why he was such a formidable and terrible enemy.
He continued: “Some works [depicting Hitler] are more comedy or satire, and that works great for those shows, but for this one it was incredibly vital that he be pure evil incarnate. The other key responsibility was to offer resolution – if we want to invoke it in this fictional way, we had to offer catharsis by the end of the series.
