While Netflix seems to be revitalizing after the predicted drop in subscribers, there’s no harm in releasing a series starring the famous how I Met Your Mother actor Neil Patrick Harris. Joining the July slate, this comedy series has a lot of potential.

He’s a successful New York real estate agent with a great career, a supportive family, close friends, and a romantic relationship with his partner of 17 years, Colin (Tuc Watkins). But when Colin unexpectedly moves on the eve of his 50th birthday, Michael is completely caught off guard. Overnight, he has to face two nightmares: losing the man he thought was his soul mate, and suddenly finding himself a single gay man in his forties in New York.
From Emmy Award-winning co-creators Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman, UNCOUPLED is a story about grief, healing, and all the humor we find along the way. Also with Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Emerson Brooks and Marcia Gay Harden. Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Darren Star Productions, Jeffrey Richman Productions and Jax Media.

So it looks like Michael Lawson (Neil Patrick Harris) is having a relationship crisis early in the series, and so he immerses himself in his work. But with that, come other romantic complications. I really like the vibe of the comedy series and reminds me slightly Emily in Paris (is that a good thing?). Hopefully the main star can make this series interesting. The comedy sure looks engaging and funny just by the trailer.
