The Echo 3 season 1 episode 9 recap – how Prince and Bambi finally save Amber? first appeared on Ready Steady Cut.

We recap the Apple TV+ series Echo 3 season 1, episode 9, “Scorched Earth”, which contains spoilers.

Last week on echo 3 season 1 episode 8, we saw Bambi and Prince make a last effort to exchange momo to amber. Unfortunately, after many round trips, Tariq did not agree with the guys. And after? Well, we’re about to head into war.

Echo 3 Season 1 Episode 9 Recap

The episode begins with us in the jungle after Bambi/Prince and the team settle in to start invading the camp. A party is going on at the site, so tons of noise makes it easy for the crew to move in. As they move through the site, you see relaxed and calm areas, which means every step should be quiet.

The series continues to stand out in the way it is written and directed. I love how this whole sequence unfolds slowly and methodically. As we watch, we know the stakes, so they carefully craft every single moment that leaves us nervous. Another thing the director did was put us in the middle of the battle to make us feel like we were next to Bambi/Prince and his crew as they navigated each part of the site.

Now the time has come as they entered the cells. However, Amber is not there, causing Bambi and Prince to frantically shout her name. As they moved to another location, she wasn’t there either. We hear someone on the radio telling them they still have to be careful because they can’t sound the alarm yet. Next, we see the ATV approaching the main gate, where they will officially burst into the site.

At the door, there is confusion about the possibility of reaching other people on the walkie-talkies. Then we see the door open and gunfire ensues. Of course, this sets off the alarm, which means the war has begun. We noticed that the trained soldiers are too much for the people on the site. Finally, we see Graciellewho tells them to go get the bazookas.

We get a little cut scene where Violet receives the “Breaking News” notification that the Colombian military has launched a strike against Venezuela. She calls her editor to ask him why he posted it because Ernesto said that they (the Colombian military) would not be involved in pursuing Venezuela.

Back at the war, Prince sees Graciella walk through the door and notices that it’s been her since they went to fight in the jungle earlier in the season. We see them stop all fire until they see where she is going because they know she knows where Amber is. Graciella walks to a door and tells them not to let anyone in or they will answer her. Slowly but surely, the bazookas begin to give the advantage to the Venezuelans. Because of this, Prince and Bambi try to move to where they think Amber is now.

Things continue to unravel for Prince/Bambi and their crew. As the Venezuelans see they have them on the ropes, they start throwing everything they can at them to take full control. Back with Graciella, she makes the call, and Ernesto says the photos are fake, not them. We see her list a bunch of things and say if she’s wrong, to hang up, and he never hangs up.

The ending explained

Finally, after so many fights, Bambi arrived at Amber. Unfortunately, the room she’s in is surrounded by gas, meaning if he fires anything, the room could explode. We see Bambi smash the wall with a hammer and wrap his arms around her. Then Amber breaks down because she can’t believe he’s real. As they lead her out of the site and into a car, we see the place go up in flames. The episode ends with us seeing that cold look on Amber’s face.

One of the best things about this episode was seeing Prince and Bambi struggling. The writers didn’t just let our heroes come in and take over, grab the girl and go home. They had to go through every step, including losing the upper hand several times in their attempt to save Amber.
