Astro’s Sanha and Victon’s Seungsik test positive for COVID-19

Astro’s Sanha and Victon’s Seungsik have halted promotional activities due to testing positive for COVID-19. Fantagio (Astro’s label) updated fans on Sanha’s condition through a statement posted on the fanfare: “Currently, there are no symptoms other than a headache. and mild cold symptoms”. The agency’s statement adds: “We will be focusing on the treatment and recovery of [Sanha] in accordance with the guidelines.” Separately, IST Entertainment (Victon’s agency) reported that Seungsik had self-isolated after testing positive for the virus. The agency also asked fans who attended the band’s in-person signings on January 7 to use self-testing kits as a precaution.

Viviz announces its return

K-pop girl group Viviz will return with new music this month. Titled VarioUS, the upcoming album will mark the third EP from members Eunha, SinB, and Umji and will be released on January 31 at 6 p.m. KST (2:30 a.m. IST).

In classic Dreamcatcher style, the girl group surprised fans on January 9 at midnight KST with an intriguing teaser showcasing a series of “special mystery codes.” In the form of a January 2023 calendar, the teaser image featured YouTube URLs redirecting audiences to the band’s past music teasers. Given that Dreamcatcher’s anniversary is right around the corner, many fans suspect that the teaser could potentially hint at a special project or new musical release.

Seventeen’s BSS will make their first return to the stage.

Consisting of members Seventeen, Seungkwan, DK, and Hoshi, BSS announced their first-ever comeback with an album slated for release on February 6, 2023. The trio debuted as a sub-unit in early 2018 with the digital single “Just Do It”.

NCT 127 Reveals Tracklist For Upcoming Repackaged Album Ay-Yo

K-pop hitmakers NCT 127 have released gorgeous images and other promotional material for their upcoming album Ay-Yo. The repackaged album contains three new tracks: “DJ”, “Skyscraper” and the title track. American producer Dem Jointz produced the title track and B-side song “Skyscraper”. The band are also set to kick off their tour of the United States and South America today, with the inaugural show taking place in Johnny’s hometown of Chicago. The tour includes stops at arenas in the United States, Chile, Colombia and Mexico, as well as three back-to-back shows in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Singer Haechan will be absent from this tour due to health issues.

Super Junior’s Yesung Announces Upcoming Album Title

Set to make his solo comeback with his first full album in Korea this month, Super Junior’s Yesung recently revealed the title of his upcoming LP, Sensory Flows. The album will be released on January 25 at 6 p.m. KST (2:30 p.m. IST). According to Korean media, the singer actively participated in the overall planning and musical production.
