Killing Eve, developed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is a gripping television thriller series that follows the intertwined lives of Eve and Villanelle. The former is a British secret service worker who finds a way to spice up her boring professional life, while Villanelle is a highly talented assassin with psychopathic tendencies. Phoebe has adapted the series ingeniously based on novels by Luke Jennings, which is evident from the large fan base the series has reached within three seasons. The first season of the series celebrated on April 8, 2018 BBC America Premiere.
The great performances by the actors and scripts have made the action series popular in the UK and the US, and has earned it several well-deserved awards. While fans keep watching the third season of Killing Eve, all eyes are on the season 4 premiere. We’ll tell you all possible details about the new season of the spy thriller.
Killing Eve season 4 release date
‘Killing Eve’ season 3 was released on April 12, 2020 on BBC America and ended on May 31, 2020. The third season consists of eight episodes, each with a running time of 41-55 minutes.
We know fans are dying to know more about Season 4, so here is all we can share. The fourth edition of the series was commissioned on January 3, 2020. On March 16, 2021, the series’ official Twitter account announced that filming for Season 4 would take place in the summer of 2021 and that the premiere would take place in 2022. The surprising thing about this announcement, however, was that Season 4 will also be the series’ final appearance.

Filming was reportedly supposed to start in the fall of 2020 but was eventually postponed to June 2021. The delay in filming was mostly due to COVID-19, but it allowed the team better travel and longer days of filming. The October 5, 2021 update revealed that the final season of Killing Eve is in production.
Since the makers have already confirmed that the upcoming episode will be the final season of the series, fans will be left with bittersweet feelings, even if the fourth season has not yet been released. An official release date has not yet been announced, but we can assume that Killing Eve season 4 will arrive sometime in the second quarter of 2022.
Killing Eve Season 4 Cast: Who is in it?
We can safely say that Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh will return as Villanelle and Eve Polastri respectively. Fiona Shaw will also be there again as the famous Carolyn Martens. Other actors likely to resume their roles include Harriet Walter (Dasha), Gemma Whelan (Geraldine), Kim Bodnia (Konstantin), Danny Sapani (Jamie), Ayoola Smart (Audrey) and Camille Cottin (Hélène). And even though Sean Delaney’s character, Kenneth Kenny Stowton, is dead, we could see the actor all over again if there are flashbacks.
Killing Eve Season 4 Plot: What Can It Be About?
The beginning of the third season is a continuation of the final episode of the second season in which Villanelle leaves Eve to die in Rome. Eve works in a restaurant in south London, and Villanelle is about to get married. As the story progresses, Carolyn returns to reject Villanelle’s proposal to become an MI6 informant. In addition, new characters such as Jamie (Kenny’s boss), Geraldine (Carolyn’s daughter) and Dasha (Villanelle’s trainer) find their place in the third season.
The season 3 finale ends with Eve and Villanelle facing each other and agreeing that neither should keep in touch with the other. As they leave, they turn around to see each other one last time. Season four will likely focus on Eve and Villanelle’s relationship. In August 2021, Comer dropped a hint that the final season will start on an exciting note. She said Villanelle will be pushing boundaries and the new season’s opening scene will amaze fans.
