American-born Wendy Joan Williams (born July 18, 1964) is a presenter, media personality, businesswoman, writer and actress. Her nationally televised talk show, The Wendy Williams Show, has been on the air since 2008.
Before breaking into television, Williams worked as a radio DJ and presenter in New York, where he quickly became known as a shock joker. The Wendy Williams Experience, a 2006 VH1 reality show about the events surrounding her radio show, chronicled her rise to fame as a result of her on-air feuds with celebrities.
Williams’ other projects include writing several books, appearing in films and television shows, touring with her comedy show, and developing her own product lines, including a clothing line, a jewelry line, and a wig line.
