In 2015 Baltimore, the Task Force tries to carry out its duties while battling corruption. Developed by duo George Pelecanos and David Simon, the series originally aired in April 2022 HBO aired.
The crime drama sheds light on systemic corruption while also tackling some serious, widespread issues. That’s one of the many reasons why the series is so popular with viewers. We Own This City Season 2 Release Date: Extended or Cancelled?
The first season of We Own This City began airing on HBO on April 25, 2022 and will conclude on May 30, 2022. The first season of the series consists of six episodes, each lasting 58-64 minutes.
As for the second season of the series, all we know is the following. Fans will probably have to settle for the first season as We Own This City is announced as a miniseries. This means that the creators only had one season in mind to finish the story.
As a new cop, Jenkins learns a few things about police work, such as: B. An arrest without cause to make the files look better. On the other hand, the troubling secrets of the Gun Trace Task Force (GTTF) come to light. Jenkins eventually finds out that some of his GTTF cops are betraying him and his plans as his crimes become known. In the end, Steele aims to reform the system to eliminate corruption once and for all. This seems to close most of the loose ends of the season 1 finale. In addition, the series is inspired by the book of the same name, which also ends with the same ending as the crime series. Considering all of this, it is highly unlikely that We Own This City Season 2 will be preserved.
One can hope, however, that the series will be revived after a few years and possibly give us an update on further developments (if any) of the Baltimore case. However, it is important to mention that no official statements have been made to suggest this.
