TWICE is well on its way to becoming one of the most famous K-pop acts and their upcoming North America tour in 2022 speaks volumes about it. Originally the group was only supposed to give five concerts in big cities, but due to the high demand and fast ticket sales, their agency JYP Entertainment decided to add two more concerts.
TWICE begin their concert tour in Korea and visit major cities in North America such as Los Angeles, Oakland, Dallas, Atlanta and New York. Fortunately, other fans will have the chance to see their favorites Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu for another two days.
AllKpop reported that there will be another concert day in Los Angeles on February 15, 2022 at the Forum. Alternatively, another appearance will be added in Belmont Park, New York, at the UBS Arena on February 27, 2022.
Ticket sales will begin on Friday, December 17th, at 3 p.m. local time at the venue. The fans are looking forward to securing their seats for these additional dates after the concert tickets had previously sold out quickly.
With this success, JYP Entertainment thanked the girls for the love and support they had shown around the world, which is why they decided to hold two more concerts in the US, according to the Korea Times. The tour will begin with three shows in Seoul taking place December 24-26. However, the official dates and venues for the US concert series have not yet been announced.
Meanwhile, it can’t be denied that TWICE have achieved incredible popularity in the K-pop world, as Soompi writes. After making their debut in 2015 with the album The Story Begins, they quickly became known for the hits Cheer Up, Heart Shaker and their current Formula of Love: O + T =
A month after its release, the group’s latest album is still well on its way to hit the Billboard charts. Formula of Love: O + T =
The LP debuted at number 3 last month. It is the first album by a K-pop girl group this year 2021 to stay on the Billboard 200 for four weeks.
It is also the first TWICE album to have achieved this feat. The previous record for the longest-on-charts K-pop girl group of 2021 was also from TWICE after their mini-album Taste of Love spent three weeks on the Billboard 200 this summer. So the fans can’t help but look forward to their upcoming North American tour in 2022.
