December 9, 2022

After more than a year of waiting, Tokyo Revengers Season 2 will finally pick up where the previous season left off. The second season now has an official release date and a new channel.

The latest Tokyo Revengers Season 2 update has been revealed on the anime’s official website. So are fans ready for the return of Takemichi and the rest of the gang?

In the season one finale, Kisaki Tetta was seen shooting Chifuyu and Takemichi. The whiny hero seemed to have lost all hope he had and his story continues in season two.

The new installment will adapt the manga’s Christmas showdown arc, which focuses mainly on the grand battle between key members of the Tokyo Manji Gang and the 10th Generation Black Dragon. It picks up where the previous season left off with Chifuyu, Takemichi, and Kisaki in the current timeline.

In Tokyo Revengers Season 2, a new conflict will arise, mainly revolving around the Shiba siblings, Taiju and Yuzuha Shiba. Taiju is the leader of the Black Dragon, and Yuzuha is his sister.

The two seem to be at odds with each other, as Yuzuha decides to join the Tokyo Manji Gang. She wants revenge on her abusive brother by joining his rival group.

From then on, Takemichi enters the scene and tries his best to solve the siblings’ problem, hoping he can create a good timeline. After failing to save his friends and Hinata, he hopes to succeed this time.

Meanwhile, as a new story begins in Tokyo Revengers Season 2, there will also be new characters. There will be a cast change in the Christmas Showdown.

Tatsuhisa Suzuki will not reprise his role as Ken Draken Ryūgūji, although it is not yet known who will take on the voice actor role. New to the series, however, are Jujutsu Kaisen Mikako Komatsu and Gintama Tomokazu Sugita, who will take on the roles of Yuzuha and Taiju Shiba, respectively.

The remaining members of the original cast are expected to reprise their roles in the upcoming season. The anime will also have a new home on Disney+ after the network renewed its partnership with Kodansha to bring more original anime produced by the publishing house to the streaming platform.

As a result, fans can watch Tokyo Revengers Season 2 on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar starting Sunday, January 8th.
