Based on a Japanese light novel series written by Kanata Yanagino and illustrated by Kususaga Rin, The Faraway Paladin is an action-adventure fantasy anime. The focus of the series is Will, a human child raised by three undead guards in an abandoned city. While the trio has imparted all their knowledge and wisdom to him, the protagonist keeps a secret from them.

Will still has memories of his former life in what is now Japan, where he could not achieve anything. Persecuted by them, he vows to make amends and live a life fondly remembered. The anime first aired on October 9, 2021. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming episode.

The Faraway Paladin Episode 8 release date

Episode 8 of The Faraway Paladin, titled The Poem of the Hero, is expected to air on December 4, 2021. It airs on Tokyo MX, AT-X and BS NTV at different times. The series is being developed by Children’s Playground Entertainment, with Yuu Nobuta leading the directing team and Tatsuya Takahashi leading the writing team.

The music for the series was co-composed by Ryūichi Takada and Keigo Hoashi, while the character design was done by Koji Haneda. The opening music The Sacred Torch is sung by Hikaru Masai, the ending music Shirushibi (Mark of Fire) by Nagi Yanagi.

The Distant Paladin – Episode 8 Spoiler

In episode 7, Menel, accompanied by him, plans to look for the village. You find a comfortable spot in the jungle and decide to spend the night there. The next day they continue their search until they come across a temple surrounded by demons who use it for rituals. After understanding their formation, Will attacks them out of the blue, and soon he is joined by Menel.

The duo knock out all the undead with ease, and the latter realizes that the former is no ordinary rich brat who used his money to get through life. You say goodbye to all the undead and meet a ghost named Marpel. When she harasses Menel and asks him some uncomfortable questions, he confesses that he stole, but that he had no choice as the gods never helped him and he couldn’t manage to abandon helpless people who have starved to death.

Marpel realizes the pain Menel has been through and gives him some advice to comfort him, and the duo continue on their journey. The villagers who left because of the demons are returning to the village and burying the dead. The late Menel tells Will about his childhood and thanks him for helping the villagers. At dinner together, the protagonist remembers Blood and Mary and admits that he now has someone he can call a friend. In episode 8, Will and Menel will learn something unexpected that will fundamentally change his goals and mission.
