Inspired by Tatsuya Endo’s Japanese manga series of the same name, Spy x Family is a comedy-action spy anime about a renowned spy, codenamed Twilight, who is tasked with investigating prominent politician Donovan Desmond in order to to keep the peace between the neighboring countries of Ostania and Westalis. Although he prefers to work alone, he has to start a fake family by adopting a girl named Anya and marrying Yor Briar, a hard worker. Unfortunately, Twilight is completely unaware that his innocent-looking wife is actually an underground assassin named Princess Thorn, while his adopted daughter can read people’s minds.
The action-packed and hilarious misadventures of the eccentric family have captured the hearts of anime fans worldwide, and the series has become one of the most-watched of all time. Spy x Family Season 2 Release Date
Season 2 of Spy x Family is scheduled to officially air sometime in October 2022 on TXN (TV Tokyo), ux, TV Shizuoka, RCC and BS TV Tokyo. After the season 1 finale premiered, the return of the series was publicly announced on the anime’s official Twitter account. A teaser was also released shortly after on TOHO Animation’s YouTube channel. The upcoming episode will have a total of 13 episodes.

However, the series was announced for two non-consecutive seasons back in late 2021. Spy x Family Season 2 Plot: What can it be about?
In the season 1 finale, Loid is overwhelmed by the pressure of going on a mission almost every day while also leading Operation Strix for peace between Westalis and Ostania. However, when he learns that the neighbors have become suspicious of his family because they hardly spend any time together anymore, the secret spy decides to bring Anya and Yor to the aquarium. Unexpectedly, however, he is tasked with intercepting the exchange of information between terrorists who are trying to get information about innovative weapons production.
Although he is initially reluctant to take on the job because it puts his family in danger, he decides not to shirk his responsibilities, since the lives of hundreds of innocent civilians depend on his decision. Not only does Loid manage to get his hands on the sensitive information, but he also spends some quality time with Anya and Yor so the make-believe family can appear normal.
In Season 2, Loid finds himself in an emergency when Frankie informs him of the murder of a contact who worked closely with them. While the news is bad, things get even more troubling for the secret agent when he learns that Garden, the shadowy organization that was once considered just urban legend, actually exists. Not only that, they were actively involved in the killing of several traitors in Ostania to protect the country’s territorial integrity.
Meanwhile, Yor is tasked with protecting a mafia client from a group of assassins bent on murdering her. While trying to focus on her mission, the Princess of Thorns also faces the challenge of keeping her identity a secret, which will prove to be a difficult task as Loid and Anya are constantly near her. The counterfeiters will discover some hard truths about each other that will also forever change their family dynamics.
