Sky Rojo ”is an explosive Spanish action series that follows three former prostitutes on the run from their sadistic boss. This detective drama plunges into the twisted world in which the characters evolve, the central trio and their torturers raise the stakes in their sordid fight with each other. The motivations and stories of the characters develop slowly, as do their current destinies, which seem to hang by a thread.
Created by Álex Pina (“Money Heist”) and Esther Martínez Lobato, this fast-paced series in Spanish has captivated the global Netflix community. Thanks to the positive reaction of the critics and the public, it spawned two successful seasons. The season 2 finale does not disappoint and attacks viewers with violent twists that leave us hungry for more. Curious about when (and if!) We’ll get to see the rest of Coral, Wendy, and Gina’s adventures? Here’s everything we know about “Red Sky” season 3.
Sky Rojo season 3 release date
Season 2 of “Red Sky” premiered on July 23, 2021 on Netflix. The 8 episodes of the season, lasting 22 to 31 minutes each, landed simultaneously on the broadcast platform. The explosive season finale is an exception and lasts 40 minutes.
As for season 3, there has been no official announcement so far as to whether it has been approved or canceled. However, there is reason to be hopeful, not least because the series is co-written by Álex Pina, the main creative force behind the hit series “Money Heist.” Pina has signed an exclusive global deal with Netflix that sees her create content exclusively for the streaming giant. The first part of season 5 of “Money Heist” is scheduled for September 2021, which suggests that Pina’s “Sky Rojo” series will also have a long series of seasons.
Additionally, the series’ story arc leaves plenty of room for expansion, and the season 2 finale ends on an open note, leading us to believe that the odds of seeing a season 3 are quite high. Considering that the gap between the premiere of season 1 (March 2021) and season 2 was only 4 months, the production of the series also seems to be a relatively quick and straightforward affair (although two seasons could have been filmed together and released separately). If the green light is given soon, it means that “Red Sky” season 3 will likely be released between early and mid-2022.
The cast of season 3 of Sky Rojo: Who can be part of it?
Red Sky follows Coral, Wendy and Gina as they try to escape from their savage boss Romeo. The potential third season will see cast members Verónica Sánchez, Lali Espósito, Yany Prado, and Asier Etxeandia reprise their leading roles on the series, respectively. Miguel Ángel Silvestre, who plays the role of Moisés, will probably return, but his colleague Enric Auquer, who plays the role of his brother Christian, might not return, given the death of his character in season 2. Most of the members of the Supporting cast They are expected to return for a possible season 3. It is very possible that the third season will add new members to the cast.
Sky Rojo season 3 plot: what is it?
In the second season, Coral, Wendy and Gina redouble their efforts in their fight against the ruthless Romeo and his men. They are not only trying to escape, but also significantly damaging their meat trading empire. They try to steal large sums of money from the crime boss, as well as escape from the women he is holding hostage. Moises also seems willing to stab his boss in the back and grab his money, but is forced to change his mind after the tragic death of his brother. Season 2 ends with the central trio on a ferry to Madeira with millions of euros owned by Romeo, who, along with Moisés, vows revenge on them.
In the possible season 3, we will see the explosive game of cat and mouse between Romeo and his former employees, with the psychotic boss trying to get his money back. More importantly, it seems that Moses has finally chosen his side, and although he has saved Coral’s life before, it is unlikely that he will ever show such kindness again. True to trend, the potential third season is expected to raise the stakes even more and be even more intense than previous iterations.
