In the season 1 finale, Himuro suddenly disappeared from the hotel, prompting Kanade and Kosuke to go in search of her. While looking for her friend, Kanade remembers that Yamamoto was responsible for wrapping the presents. Her sudden realization prompts Yukimura to confront Yamamoto, who openly admits she cracked the case on purpose to create some drama.

After a brief heated exchange, Yukimura finally finds Himuro on a bridge and wastes no time criticizing her for a mediocre reconciliation effort. Himuro, agitated at that moment, hugs Yukimura, and the two end up kissing.
