Prince William and Prince Harry remain at odds, and it looks like it may be a long time before the two settle their differences – or not. A royal expert claims the Duke of Cornwall may find it difficult to forgive his brother for allegedly not respecting the royal family.
The royal siblings have been at odds for years, and no major family event or loss seems to bring them together. Although there are rumors that Kate Middleton is trying hard to end the argument, will it work this time?
Katie Nicholl, who wrote the book The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown, revealed the Prince of Wales wasn’t ready to forget the past. When the Duke of Sussex decided to step down as senior king and leave the monarchy, his brother was reportedly deeply hurt.
she told Us Weeklythat the future king found his brother’s step difficult, which may be the reason why their dispute has not been resolved to this day. Kate Middleton’s husband couldn’t quite forgive the fifth in line for his behavior, she claimed.
The Sussexes not only affected Prince William himself, but also his wife and their three children, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, putting them in a bind. This brought them into the limelight much earlier than they otherwise would have, Nicholl said.
She added that Prince William thought Prince Harry would always support him, but the latter chose to leave and resign, prompting a great disrespect for the firm, his family and her grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.
But Nicholl believes there is still hope for a reconciliation. According to reports, King Charles III. end the royal family feud by trying to work things out. He knows this will strain his reign and doesn’t want this misunderstanding to perpetuate the royal family.
The former Fab Four’s walkabout in Windsor could be the start of it. There are also suspicions that Kate Middleton is trying to do her best by putting an end to her falling out with Meghan Markle in order to get Prince William and Prince Harry together.
The Cornwalls will host the second annual Earthshot Prize ceremony on December 2nd in Boston. The Princess of Wales wants to use the event to mend her relationship with the Duchess of Sussex while they are in the US.
The future queen consort believes it’s what the late Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth would have wanted. Thankfully, Meghan Markle is willing to cooperate when their schedules don’t get in the way.
