Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s docuseries trailer is set to derail Prince William, Kate Middleton’s high-profile visit to Boston, royal experts claim

December 2, 2022

Netflix has released the trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming documentary series, now officially titled Harry & Meghan, just in time for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s visit to the United States. With the preview apparently designed to derail the royal couple’s high-profile visit to Boston for the Earthshot ceremony, many believe it will only reignite, and potentially worsen, the royal feud.

Royal pundits see the release of the explosive trailer as a deliberate distraction from the Cambridge tour. But Prince William and Kate Middleton don’t seem to mind at all because it’s business as usual for them.

The one-minute teaser features the Duchess of Sussex in particular. It shows her in tears several times, as well as some intimate scenes of her and the Duke of Sussex.

The clip also features her photo taken with the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall during Commonwealth Day in 2020. Kate looks daggers drawn in the snap.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are accused of sabotaging the biggest international royal visit since Queen Elizabeth II died in September. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said via expresssaid the trailer’s release was apparently timed to draw attention away from the Prince and Princess of Wales’ trip to Boston.

He also claimed that the former senior royals like to control their narrative. Royal author Phil Dampier also told the Express that the couple released the trailer in a deliberate attempt to overshadow Prince William and Kate Middleton’s visit to Boston.

Elsewhere, Omid Scobie tweeted that if tomorrow is Prince William’s Super Bowl, the trailer for Harry & Meghan is the Halftime Show. Meanwhile, the royal editor of the Hello! Magazine’s Emily Nash, reporting live from Boston, that the heir to the throne and the next Queen Consort have concerns about the docuseries.

She said the Wales team wanted to keep the focus on Earthshot, which they’ve been working on for 18 months. Surely they’re now disappointed that attention has been snatched from them, and they’re also concerned about what the documentary will reveal.

But things will go on as normal for them; they will just go ahead and continue their engagements. Nash stressed that there would be no comments from Prince William and Kate Middleton.

It’s incredibly difficult, she said. As senior members of the royal family, the two are known for not commenting on anything that appears in the media.
