Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Lost 14 Staffers in Four Years: Why Did Rebecca Sananès and Mandana Dayani Leave the Sussexes?

December 7, 2022

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lost two more staffers over the weekend after Head of Audio Rebecca Sananès and Archewell Foundation President Mandana Dayani resigned from their respective posts. In all, they’ve lost 14 of their employees since 2018, leaving some wondering what is making their employees leave them.

Sananès and Dayani stepped down less than 24 hours apart and didn’t even stay with the couple that long. So why did the two leave Prince Harry and Meghan Markle?

Of the express revealed that Sananès, who used to run the former actress’ podcast Archetypes, is leaving after just a little over a year with the Sussex team. She will now be replaced by media executive Serena Regan, although it’s not yet known if the Duchess of Sussex’s show will be renewed for another season.

Sananès’ departure came less than a day after Dayani’s departure, after managing Archewell for around a year and a half. However, unlike Sananès, Dayani will not be replaced as the royal couple will take full control of their company.

Dayani’s withdrawal is reportedly by mutual consent. In a statement, she said she fully supports Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new role in her company, and they even remain friends.

Dayani is considered one of the Sussexes’ most important advisers. Ashley Hansen, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s global press secretary, said the Iranian-born activist has been an integral part of Archewell.

Now that she has left the company, one is grateful for her passion, dedication and leadership. Meanwhile, a source told the Daily Telegraph (via OK! magazinesthat Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal staff are contorting to work with them.

They reportedly worked non-stop to defend their bosses against negative claims made against them, including rumors about their treatment and behavior towards their co-workers. Another commenter said the story about the comparison between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle was made up and there was no difference in how they were treated by the press.

Meanwhile, the upcoming six-part Harry & Meghan documentary about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is finally coming to Netflix. It will be split into two parts: the first three episodes will be released on December 8th, while the remaining episodes will be released on December 15th.

The trailer for the docu-series surprised many when it was released around the time Prince William and Kate Middleton were in the US. As such, many see that the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Harry & Meghan will exacerbate the royal family’s feud.
