Amid discussions surrounding Prince Harry’s absence from the recent Prince Philip memorial service, a royal expert has claimed that Queen Elizabeth II has a closed relationship with the Sussexes. Despite everything that’s happened, Meghan Markle’s husband could still have a strong relationship with his grandmother.

Royal pundit Robert Hardman told the Palace Confidential podcast Queen Elizabeth is very good at isolating herself while discussing her relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. So did she just understand why the Sussexes didn’t attend Prince Philip’s funeral?

Loud express Prince Harry and Prince Philip are known to have a good relationship. They were often seen smiling and laughing together when they were out.

As such, many were surprised when the controversial prince decided not to attend his grandfather’s memorial service, likely for security reasons. First off, he was stripped of royal protection after stepping down as senior royal.

Despite this, it is widely believed that he has a strong bond with his grandmother. Hardman, who is behind several royal documentaries, revealed that for Her Majesty there is family and business.

The matter of leaving the royal family and the Sussex Royal website is business. Therefore, the monarch treats it separately.

But when it comes to the relationship between her grandmother and grandson, she remains very strong. While the Queen is very saddened by Prince Harry’s absence, she seems very used to family drama.

In fact, Hardman revealed that Queen Elizabeth has experienced plenty of family drama, and even national and international drama, that she could endure. On the principle that too shall pass, she knows that eventually things will fall into place.

However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may well be aware that not attending Prince Philip’s memorial service would make them look stubborn and rude. Royal author and editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine Ingrid Seward told the Mirror the couple missed an opportunity by missing the event.

The two may be aware of the implications of their decision. Seward said her silence on the wall caused loud screams. Although they are known to be articulate dukes and duchesses, they said nothing this time.

Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared calm at the memorial service. They didn’t comment on social media or their spokesman for Prince Philip’s funeral, and didn’t even send flowers to Westminster Abbey to be laid.
