The Duke of Sussex’s wreath has reportedly cost £1,000. A new wreath will be made alternatively for King Charles for the upcoming service next week.
Prince Harry’s last participation in the wreath-laying tradition was at the Remembrance memorial service in 2019. He also previously served in the British military, serving with the Blues and Royals regiment in Afghanistan.
In 2020, there were reports that he asked the royal family if he could lay a wreath on his behalf, but his request was reportedly denied. Prince Andrew also attended the ceremony for the last time in 2019.

The title of Prince Harry’s book, Spare, is controversial in itself. He is said to be a nod to his role in the royal family as he is the second son of his brother, Prince William, who is now the heir apparent.
