Prince Andrew reportedly in tears after King Charles III. has turned down his plan to return as a working senior royal

According to reports, King Charles III. and Prince Andrew met a few days before the death of Queen Elizabeth II to discuss the latter’s plan to return to Birkhall, Balmoral, as a working Senior Royal. However, the monarch turned down his younger brother’s request, bringing tears to the Duke of York.

Prince Andrew has retired from royal life after being embroiled in the major scandal involving criminal sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. If the matter settles down, he is rumored to want to return to royal life, although the public never forgets that.

A royal source told the Mail on Sunday (via express) that His Majesty’s refusal left his brother completely taken by surprise and utterly bereft. He firmly believes that he can find his way back.

Knowing that he was very close to the late Queen, some even calling him their favorite son, he made several attempts to discuss his return to public life with her. While it may sound naïve, the insider revealed Prince Andrew always had high hopes of returning to his position and becoming a senior royal again.

At the meeting, King Charles is said to have advised him to have a nice life, but also emphasized that his public life was really over. You have to accept that, the king is said to have told his sibling.

Aside from being taken by surprise, Prince Andrew is also said to have been completely lost and very depressed. He was reportedly told he was banned from public life forever, leaving him emotional and tense.

He was adamant that despite his connection to Epstein, he could still be of value as a senior working royal. When Queen Elizabeth was alive, a source revealed that he was negotiating the possibility of his return to the royal fold.

However, an insider explained that his mother would often say slightly forgiving things to change the subject immediately. That way they could avoid talking about the matter.

First off, Sarah Ferguson’s former husband stepped down from royal duties in 2019 after he was targeted for his relationship with convicted pedophile Epstein. This led to Queen Elizabeth stripping him of his military titles and royal patronage after his alleged victim, Virginia Giuffre, filed a sexual abuse lawsuit against him.

Giuffre accused Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her when she was a minor. She also claimed that Epstein traded her.

The Duke has vehemently denied the allegations, stressing that he has no memory of ever meeting Giuffre. He has agreed a multi-million pound settlement to prevent the case from going to civil court.
