Mars Red is an animated historical horror series developed from a play written by Bun-O Fujisawa. Set in the 1920s in Japan, when the victory of World War I brought unprecedented prosperity to the country, the story follows an elite military squad of vampires tasked with hunting down and eliminating any vampire threat. On March 29, 2021, Funimation premiered the English subtitled and dubbed versions of Episode 1, a week before the Japanese broadcast. Mars Red Episode 4 Release Date
Episode 4 of “Mars Red,” titled “Unknown Song,” will air on April 27, 2021 on ytv, Tokyo MX, Chūkyō TV, and CS Family Gekijo. To commemorate its 50th anniversary, Yomiuri-TV Enterprise LTD has developed ‘Mars Red’ in collaboration with Funimation. Studio Signal.MD created the animation, with Kouhei Hatano and Shinya Sadamitsu as directors and Junichi Fujisaku as lead screenwriter. Kemuri Karakara originally designed the characters. Yukari Takeuchi later adapted the works from Karakara. Toshiyuki Muranaka composed the music. Wagakki’s group sang the opening song “Seimei no Aria”, while Hyde sang the closing song “ON MY OWN”.

Viewers in the US, Canada, Ireland and the UK can watch episodes of “Mars Red” with original Japanese sound and English subtitles on Funimation. The Portuguese and Spanish subtitled versions of the episodes will also be available on the platform for its Latin American viewers. Residents of Scandinavian countries will be able to watch the series with English subtitles on Wakanim. French, Russian and German subtitled versions of the episodes can also be viewed on the streaming site. Viewers in Australia and New Zealand can watch the English subtitled versions on animelab.
Mars Red Episode 4 Spoilers
In Episode 3, the Code Zero unit hunts down a man they believe to be a vampire. In fact, it turns out to be an Ascra carrier, an artificial blood type. Maeda reports her discovery to Lieutenant General Sonosuke Nakajima, who asks her to accompany her to a meeting with senior military officers. Moriyama’s death clearly affected both men, and they want to protect all the other soldiers under their command. Suwa crosses paths with Defrott, while the latter has gone out to see a movie with Aoi and informs Maeda.
Tokuichi Yamagami confides to Shuutarou that he was once married to a woman named Tomiko. Knowing that she will drop a lantern during the Bon festival to commemorate the spirits of the ancestors, Tokuichi wishes that he could speak to her at least one more time. At Shuutarou’s suggestion, he appears in front of her in the form of a ghost. When he leaves, he promises to see her again the following year. The episode ends when Suwa finds a victim of a vampire attack. In episode 4, Code Zero was able to investigate the victim’s death. They can tell that the vampire is somewhere in the middle of the festival crowd. And the team could frantically search for the vampire before he attacks Tomiko or someone else.
