I’m the Villainess Season 2 Release Date

‘Akuyaku Reijou nano de Last Boss wo Kattemimashita’ or ‘I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss’ Season 1 was released on October 1, 2022 and ended a few weeks later on December 17, 2022. The anime spans twelve Episodes with a running time of about 23 minutes each.

As for the second part of the Isekai series, so far we know everything. As of now, Studio Maho Film has not renewed ‘I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss’ for a second season. The season finale also contained no statement from the creators about the future of the series. However, it’s still possible to speculate about the series based on the information we now have. Despite the anime adaptation, sales of the manga or light novel have not increased significantly.

I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss was surprisingly absent from the Oricon Top 20 list of light novels or manga during the series’ 12-week run. Interestingly, however, the anime made it into Crunchyroll’s top 10 popular fall anime a number of times despite being linked to series like Spy x Family Part 2, Chainsaw Man, Blue Lock, Mob Psycho 100 III, Boku no Hero Academia 6th Season, Bleach : Sennen Kessen-hen, and ‘Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War’.

The Isekai series also had a good overall rating on MyAnimeList, while its reviews on most online platforms were generally positive. In the past, anime that have garnered similar audience reactions have managed to be renewed and run multiple seasons as well. A popular example of this is My Next Life as a Villainess, which has a similar theme to I’m the villain, so I tame the final boss. Interestingly, the first series already has two seasons, so Maho Film expects to be able to repeat the success with the second series.

In terms of source material availability, the first season of the Isekai series covers just three out of ten volumes of the light novel. Therefore, the creators have more than enough content to produce two more seasons. If the anime is renewed in the coming months, Season 2 of I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss will most likely arrive sometime in late 2024.

I’m the Villainess Season 2 Plot: What could it be about?

In Season 2, fans will learn that Aileen and Claude’s marriage is unlikely to lead to a quiet and peaceful life, as soon they will have to fight to save their relationship. When Aileen visits the court of Saint King Baal for political reasons, she finds herself in deep trouble after being accepted into the king’s harem, which will only be the beginning of trouble for her and Claude. While there, Aileen has no choice but to keep her head down and try to seduce the Holy King, hoping to eventually make it back to her husband.

Meanwhile, Claude faces a lot of challenges as well. People close to him will try to ruin his relationship with Aileen while she’s gone, and to make matters worse, his father even expects him to end his marriage. This is certainly bad, but what will really hurt Claude is the fact that he won’t be able to help Aileen as quickly as he would like because his magic isn’t working on Holy King Baal.
