Episode 4 of season 4 of “I’m Standing on a Million Lives” titled “Flowing Island” or “Nagareru Shima” will air on July 31, 2021 in Japan on Tokyo MX, BS11, MBS, AT-X and Wowow. The anime is being developed by Studio Maho Film, with Kumiko Habara as director and Takao Yoshioka as script supervisor. The characters are drawn by Eri Kojima, Kaho Deguchi, and Toshihide Masudate, and Tsubasa Itou composed the music. The opening song “Baddest” is performed by Kaede Higuchi, while the closing song “Subversive” is sung by Kanako Takatsuki.

In episode 3, titled “We cannot be heroes of justice” or “Seigi no Mikata ni wa Narenai”, the orcs suddenly attack the harbor while everyone is sitting around a bonfire sharing stories from their past. At first they seem indestructible, but Yotsuya Yuusuke kills one using the World of Heroes bow with the help of Ryce-san. However, the orcs begin to learn slowly and avoid the bow. One of them uses large stones for ranged attacks, causing the defensive walls to collapse.
Yotsuya and his friend fight bravely and finally defeat the orc responsible for destroying the walls. But they are not so lucky when the next waves arrive because Ryce-san dies while fighting. They defeat their enemies again, but they run out of bullets. Therefore, they decide to go to the eastern heights to get more. Meanwhile, the Orc Queen appears in front of Cantil, while Yotsuya tells himself that it is actually the islanders, not the orcs, who are evil.
