Hyun Bin has reportedly returned to South Korea after his wife Son Ye Jin gave birth to their first child together on Sunday, November 27. The actor was in Mongolia to shoot his upcoming movie Harbin.

Hyun Bin is now with his family and is taking care of Son Ye Jin after the birth of their son. The actor was reportedly absent when the Thirty-Nine star went into labor.

The 40-year-old actress was due to give birth in December but gave birth to her baby earlier than expected. Her husband was reportedly not by her side at the time as he was busy filming his new movie in Mongolia.

Director Woo Min Ho’s ‘Harbin’ crew is currently deep in filming, a source said via AllKpop. Hyun Bin works tirelessly to shoulder the burden of the film’s title role.

However, a film industry official revealed that production on the film wrapped as early as November 26, giving the actor an opportunity to return to South Korea immediately. Now the two are together with their new baby.

Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin’s agencies, VAST Entertainment and MSTeam, confirmed that the latter has already given birth and the mother and child are in good condition. The couple wed in March and announced in June that they are already expecting their first child.

In a lengthy post on Instagram, Korea’s first love revealed to the nation that new life has come to them, and she found it hard to believe the news herself. However, the apparent changes to her body were enough to tell her that she is indeed having a baby.

Elsewhere, while promoting Hyun Bin’s new film Confidential Assignment 2 in September, he admitted he still couldn’t believe he would soon be a father, even though he knew his life would be better from then on had to.

He called Son Ye Jin’s pregnancy a great blessing, so he waited patiently and with good expectations.

Meanwhile, Hyun Bin has reportedly wrapped up filming on his new film Harbin, a spy action movie set in the said 1990s capital of China’s northernmost province of Heilongjiang. The film follows the life of independence activist and lieutenant general of the Korean army Ahn Jung Geun (Hyun Bin) and his comrades as they bravely fight for their homeland.

In addition to Hyun Bin, Lee Dong Wook and Jeon Yeo Bee will also be appearing in Harbin. It is not yet known when the film will officially hit the cinemas.
