It tells the story of Yoshida, an employee in his twenties, who finds Sayu Ogiwara, a runaway high school student, sitting under a telephone pole one night. Deeply drunk, he allows him to stay in his cramped apartment. The next morning, when he’s sober, he decides to let her stay with him. In return, she only has to take care of the apartment. Hige wo Soru Season 2 Release Date
Hige wo Soru debuted on April 5, 2021 and aired 13 episodes before ending on June 28, 2021. Project No.9 (‘Lower Level Character Tomozaki’) developed the series, with Dream Shift serving as producer. Manabu Kamikita led the production team while Hitomi Mieno led the writing team. As for season 2, this is what we know.
No official announcement has yet been made to confirm or deny the development of a second season. However, the light novel series “Hige wo Soru” has already ended with the publication of its fifth volume. The light novels were published by Kadokawa Shoten from February 1, 2018 to June 1, 2021. The final episode of the anime adapts the final chapters of the light novel series. In the season 1 finale, after Yoshida finishes talking to Sayu’s mother, Sayu herself speaks to her and is allowed to stay with her parents until she is an adult. When Yoshida leaves the next day, Sayu tells him again that she loves him, but is rejected again.
Back in Tokyo, Yoshida struggles to cook despite the explicit instructions Sayu left her in a notebook. For the first time, she lets Sayu go crying, who is no longer in her life. The end credits offer a glimpse into Sayu and Yoshida’s life after their separation. The season ends as it began. Yoshida finds Sayu, presumably an adult, sitting under the same telephone pole. Overwhelmed by his emotions, Yoshida asks Sayu what she’s doing there at this hour and tells her to go home. In response, she tells him that her home is far away and asks if she can stay with him.
The creators of the anime ‘Hige wo Soru’ could release original video animations or OVAs developed from the skipped chapters of the series. They can also perform OVAs of the short story spin-off series’ Hige or Soru. Soshite Joshi Kōsei or Hirou. Every Story ”, which describes the daily life of Sayu, Yoshida and the others. In order for them to create a true “Hige wo Soru” season 2, Shimesaba and Booota must first develop a sequel to the original light novel series. Without him, it’s highly unlikely that “Hige wo Soru” season 2 will ever come out.
