Van Helsing Season 5 Episode 12 Recap
In episode 12 of season 5 of Van Helsing, titled “The Voices”, Vanessa confronts Dracula in the Oval Office. He bites Dracula and stabs him before leaving. Dracula is weakened by Vanessa’s bite and must drink his own blood to survive. In the field of resistance, the situation is serious because Báthory is still under the effects of the psychosis that Dracula made her suffer.
Vanessa arrives at the camp and is tasked with trying to stabilize Bathory. Meanwhile, Axel and General Lannister save the vice president. After Violet’s bite fails to transform the vice president, they decide to trust him. Thanks to Vanessa’s efforts, Bathory awakens and is no longer blind. The group decides to carry out their plan, which involves Bathory reading the spells on the ancient scrolls that will paralyze Dracula. Then Jack must bite Dracula to trap him in the amulet.
However, Bathory betrays the group and stabs Jack. She escapes with the amulet. The group discover Bathory on a ledge contemplating jumping, taking the amulet with her. Vanessa and her company must find a way to save Bathory, as they need her to read the spells and the amulet to catch Dracula. However, Dracula possesses Bathory and unleashes the Shadowed One’s remaining power contained in the amulet. When Dracula regains all his power, Bathory jumps off the ledge.
