Eve Premiere and Press Conference Cancelled: Does it have anything to do with Seo Ye Ji’s previous controversies?

May 20, 2022

tvN postpones the release of Seo Ye Ji’s comeback project Eve by a week, five days before the official broadcast. The drama’s producers also announce that the series’ press conference has been canceled due to scheduling conflicts.

The people behind the show are clarifying the speculation that the cancellation of the release and press briefing has nothing to do with the past issue surrounding Seo Ye Ji. Anyway, in less than a week, fans will finally see the premiere of Eve.

The series was originally scheduled to air on Wednesday, May 25th. However, it was postponed to June 1 instead.

They explained via soompithat while the series is a pre-produced drama, filming has been postponed several times due to various factors, including COVID-19.

The shooting isn’t finished yet. Also, as they have a tight schedule for various things, such as post-production, they have decided to delay their first broadcast by a week.

The tight filming schedule also impacted the planned press conference for Eve, which was also postponed. So Seo Ye Ji’s past gaslighting controversy had nothing to do with this move.

Due to our shooting schedule, it has become impossible for us to hold a press conference, they said. Rumor has it that the actress is feeling pressured by her return to the small screen, but that’s not true.

The series is a love revenge drama about a chaebol’s 2 trillion won, or roughly $1.7 billion, divorce lawsuit that takes the entire nation by surprise. But few knew that this was the result of a carefully calculated revenge plan that took 13 years to prepare.

The series will mark Seo Ye Ji’s return to the spotlight, along with Lee Sang Yeob, Park Byung Eun and Yoo Sun.

Ahead of the premiere of the new K-Drama, tvN is releasing four unique character posters featuring the main cast, such as AllKpop reported. Fans will see Park Byung Eun in the role of Kang Yun Gyeom holding a blue rose.

He is a man who is not afraid to throw everything away in the name of love. Yoo Sun also stars as Han So Ra, a woman who has everything but holds a broken black rose stem.

And finally, the images also feature Lee Sang Yap as Seo Eun Pyung holding his white rose. He is a man who will also do anything to protect the woman he loves.

Eve officially airs June 1 at 10:30 p.m. KST. It can also be seen on Viki with subtitles.
