Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 7 spoilers

In episode 6, Tanjirou is stabbed by the ticket seller while fighting Enmu. But instead of attacking him, the demon slayer knocks him out so that he can no longer intervene and tries to protect him from the lower-ranking demon who is desperately trying to save his neck. But all his efforts fail when Tanjirou and Inosuke manage to cut his throat. As soon as Enmu is beheaded, the Mugen train derails and all compartments disintegrate, injuring the passengers and Tanjirou.

The protagonist focuses his breath on tending to his stab wound when Rengoku arrives and helps him use the technique properly. But as soon as he has recovered, the demon Akaza appears, who holds the third rank. He immediately pounces on Tanjirou and tries to kill him, but the Flaming Hashira cuts off his hand with his katana. The demon is hardly impressed by the counterattack and regenerates immediately.

Akaza is impressed by Rengoku’s inner strength and asks the demon slayer to become like him. The Flame Hashira refuses to gain immortality and the strength of demons, as the ephemeral existence of humans gives meaning to life and should not be viewed as weakness. The two begin to fight each other, and it soon becomes clear that Akaza is vastly superior in battle compared to Rengoku, who can barely harm the demon.

The senior demon continues to argue that human life is short, and with each attack, it seems that Flame Hashira’s defeat is approaching very quickly. In episode 7, Rengoku, although he is dominated most of the time, does not give up and gives the higher-ranking demon a very tough fight. In the end, however, he dies right in front of Tanjirou and Inosuke, who are too weak to do anything.
