Death and Nightingales ”is a period drama series adapted for the screen by Allan Cubitt from the novel by Eugene McCabe (1992). The series is set in Ireland in 1883 and revolves around a young woman named Beth Winters. After years of difficult relationships with her stepfather Billy, she decides to leave this life behind when the opportunity presents itself. A charming young man named Liam Ward helps Beth carry out her plan. The series first launched in November 2018 in Ireland and subsequently aired in the UK.

Seeing the reception given the series by viewers in these two countries, it was also released in the United States in May 2021. However, it was met with a mixed response from critics. While many praised the drama, some critics felt the dialogue didn’t have much of an effect and the pacing was problematic. But the consensus was that the drama series was intriguing enough to turn heads, and Matthew Rhys’s (Billy) performance was praised by all. With the first season coming to a close, fans are wondering if there will be a season 2. Here’s everything you need to know!

Death and Nightingales season 2 release date

The first season of “Death and Nightingales” aired on May 16, 2021 on Starz. Prior to its US premiere, the series initially aired in Ireland from November 26, 2018 to December 10, 2018 on RTÉ One. Additionally, it also launched in the UK on BBC Two, where the first season was broadcast. aired just two days after Irish programming. As for the second season, this is what we have. This historical drama is a miniseries, which means that the plot has a clear beginning, middle and end. The series was created with all three episodes in mind. However, the fact that it was introduced to an entirely new audience after two and a half years suggests that the creator of the series may have some hope for the future of the series. The events of the original book span from 24 to 36 hours, all of which were covered by Season 1. Even then, it is not unusual for a series to continue beyond the original material.

So we have one more reason to believe that there could be another episode. But nothing has been officially announced about a possible second season yet.
