Choi Jong-hoon had an argument with the press after attending a church service

Former singer and convicted sex offender Choi Jong-hoon had an argument with the press after attending a church service. The media tried to get an interview with the actor, but he was upset while his mother came to his aid and described his sexual offense as no big deal.

The Fact posted a video of Choi Jong-hoon titled ‘Choi Jong-hoon’s Group Char Room’ Choi Choi Jong-hoon, Two Months After Being Released on YouTube. Here he can be seen resenting the questions he is being asked.

AllKpop noted that the 31-year-old star had his long hair tied back in a ponytail and was wearing glasses and a mask. A reporter tried to ask him questions for an interview in the church parking lot, but he was starting to get upset.

He asked how they knew he was in church and whether the people there had revealed his whereabouts. He then revealed that he had also had a bad trauma and that the turning point of events was shocking for him.

What should I say if you just hold the recorder in my face? He went on. Choi Jong-hoon called his mother and said the reporters were suddenly interviewing him.

His mother rushed to his side and yelled at the media outlets why they were asking their son these questions. She told them to leave and asked why they were rioting about something that wasn’t a big deal.

The mother threatened them that if they did this to someone who tried to lead a life of faith, God would correct them. She added that when time went by, God would solve everything automatically, and the result would be okay – they just had to wait.

First of all, Choi Jong-hoon was charged with sexual assault for illegally filming a woman with Jung Joon-young, former Burning Sun MD Kim, clerk Kwon and former entertainment agency employee Heo Mo. The South Korean court sentenced him and Jung Joon-young to five years in prison for gang rape of drunk and unconscious women, reports the BBC.

Jung was also charged for filming the assault and distributing the clip. He was forced to attend sexual violence treatment courses for 80 hours and was permanently banned from working with children.

He began his detention on May 9, 2019 and was released on November 8, 2021 after serving 30 months. Alternatively, Joong-young would be released on October 1, 2025 after serving five years in prison, 80 hours of sexual violence awareness-raising classes, and a five-year ban on employment.
