Shizuya Wazenay created the manga series The Roman Fighter. From 1997 to 2009, Young Animal of Hakusensha produced the first Kent Ankoku Den Cestvs series. A second series, Kendo Shit Den Cestvs, ran on Young Animal Arashi from 2010 to 2014, then transferred to Young Animal Arashi, where it aired from 2014 to 2018, before being discontinued.
