BTS Reads: 10 Book Recommendations that Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, Jungkook have personally read

Despite their busy schedules, BTS still find time to relax and read their favorite books. They’ve even been spotted opening a book when they weren’t busy during production, as seen in some of their behind-the-scenes clips.

So here are the 10 book recommendations that BTS members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook read.

1. ‘Almond’ by son Won Pyung

AllKpop revealed that this book was read by Suga in In the Soop. It tells the story of Yunjae, who suffers from a brain disease called alexithymia that makes it difficult for him to be scared or angry. But an act of violence changes his world.

2. The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

This book was also featured in In the Soop. It’s about a library where each book shows its readers a life they could have lived.

3. Life Lessons by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and David Kessler

Suga also recommends this novel by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and David Kessler. The authors aim to guide their readers through the practical and spiritual lessons they need to learn in order to live life to the fullest.

4. ‘Pachinko’ by Min Jin Lee

Pachinko tells the story of Korean immigrants living in Japan. Recently, Apply TV adapted this story into a TV series starring Lee Min Ho.

5. ‘Demian’ by Hermann Hesse

Another BTS member who is a big reader is RM, according to the Times of India. It is an excellent psychological portrait of a troubled young man’s quest for self-discovery.

6. Me Before You’ by Jojo Moyes

RM is also a fan of this 2012 romance, which was later made into a film starring Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin. It tells the story of Louisa Clark who falls in love with her boss who lost his will to live after a motorcycle accident left him paralyzed.

7. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

The Little Prince is one of Jungkook’s favorite reads. This timeless classic tells the story of love, friendship, loneliness and loss.

8. I Decided to Live as I by Kim Soo Hyun

Jungkook also recommends this Korean book, which is very popular overseas. Author Kim Soo Hyun reveals that this novel will help its readers to love and respect themselves.

9. Live, Love and Learn’ by Leo F. Buscaglia

Also, BTS’ J-Hope has his book recommendations, Life, Love and Learn from Leo F. Buscaglia. It contains a collection of talks by the author revealing life’s challenges and the wonders of love.

10. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Another of Suga’s favorite reads is Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist. It tells the story of Santiago who embarks on an adventure to find the treasure in the Egyptian pyramids only to find love and learn the true meaning of his identity.
