BLACKPINK have consistently shown the world their great talents and sound through their Born Pink world tour. Since every girl has her own time to shine, Jennie has amazed fans with her incredible skills and increased fan interest in her.
In a video posted to the publication’s official YouTube channel, the 26-year-old revealed some details about her life in English. The clip revealed that her favorite food is nurungji, or scorched rice, the crispy crust of lightly browned rice at the bottom of the saucepan.
This dish has become a traditional snack in Korea that people often eat. It’s one of the most common things to find in Jennie’s suitcase wherever she goes.
She always carries one with her so she can eat it when she travels or at work. So I carry them in my bag pretty much every day, she explained.
Elsewhere, Jennie shared the best piece of industry advice she’d heard recently. It was about how it’s okay to slow down and take your time. She then revealed that her fellow BLACKPINK members, Lisa, Jisoo, Rose and her mom, are her biggest cheerleaders who have always supported her in everything she does.
On the cover of ELLE Korea Magazine, the singer revealed that her attitude and stage-loving mentality are aspects of performing that she was born with. She admitted that she always got nervous when she was on stage, but once there she just focused on her performance and enjoyed the energy.
The interviewer then described Jennie’s performing style as swanky and glamorous, although the artist herself wanted her to be seen as passionate and professional instead. She said it’s her intention to show her cool image more than ever and she’s been working really hard on it.
But Jennie would feel more grateful if people saw her the way she described seeing her performance.
Meanwhile, fans will be seeing Jennie on the small screen for the first time in the upcoming new HBO series The Idol, and she called it a challenge as she had to adjust to a new environment.
