To be successful globally, one must win the hearts of local audiences by producing local entertainment. This technique has resulted in a plethora of fantastic foreign Netflix programming. When browsing the Netflix collection, international series that aren’t necessarily in English are all too easily overlooked or dismissed.

The Paper House (Money Heist)

La Casa de Papel became a top 10 worldwide hit in 2020. The series is based on a true story about a strange group of criminals who pull off the most flawless heist in Spanish history. Due to its broad demographic appeal, compelling narrative, diverse cast, and high production value, the show was a huge hit.

This show is a must see whether you speak Spanish or not. This thriller has all the expected twists. The tension of the story is also conveyed with a wonderful smoothness. What makes this episode even more interesting is the different personalities involved in the robbery, not the robbery itself. They are strangers to each other at first. This is fascinating because the viewer becomes familiar with them as they get to know each other. Thanks to the fantastic character development and intelligent storytelling, the viewer develops a relationship with the thieves and learns to see them as revered beings.

narcotics

Drugs and the Mexican cartel are two ingredients that go together like rice and beans. In the entertainment industry, the topic was heavily exploited. Unlike other films and series, Narcos approaches these issues seriously and meticulously. What’s more, it’s one of the first shows to accurately describe Pablo Escobar’s (Wagner Moura) rise to power. This episode is memorable, to say the least, as it is told from the perspective of Steve Murphy (Boyd Holbrook), a DEA agent stationed in Colombia.

This program is a mixture of fascinating cinematic elements. First and foremost, this is an American film set and shot in Colombia, with a Brazilian director (Jose Padilla) and a Brazilian leading actor. Netflix’s ambition to expand overseas has proven successful with this series. This crime thriller has captured the hearts and eyes of people around the world because it is sharply written and just as sharply acted. Although it’s the story of a good guy versus a bad guy, it’s also a look at who Pablo Escobar was. He humanizes him by telling details about his personal life, such as his family’s needs. Even if you are not interested in the subject, the film is a must-see.

Heartstopper seems to be the cuddliest and warmest of all gay stories to hit the market today, and it’s the cuddliest and warmest yet. In the tale of two teenagers who come to the realization that their relationship may be more than platonic, Oseman, who adapted the original story they wrote for the comic, maintains the same sense of honesty and empathy. Of course there’s romance, too, but it’s also about showing the ups and downs of puberty, when everything seems so intense and unexplored in terms of feelings and first love, and the only thing between you and a maybe life-changing one When you are in a relationship, you are yourself. Human Resource Management

Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Kelly Galuska, Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett developed the show.

The cast includes Aidy Bryant, Randall Park, Keke Palmer, David Thewlis, Brandon Kyle Goodman, Maya Rudolph and Nick Kroll.

Perhaps it was inevitable that Big Mouth’s universe would expand beyond its streaming roots — especially when it comes to the monsters who act as shoulder angels to their overly hormonal pubescents. Human Resources (a brilliant title in and of itself) takes a workplace comedy and flips the Big Mouth script to give a behind-the-scenes look at hormone monster headquarters, resulting in some hilarious and shockingly vulnerable pranks. This is a more mature comedy than its predecessor, but it also does what all great spin-offs should do: expand the universe that was only hinted at in the first series. (Not to mention from the voice cast, which is truly incredible.) Carly Lane –

The alley of the fireflies

Maggie Friedman designed it (based on the book by Kristin Hannah)

Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke star.

Netflix has managed to establish itself as a major streaming service for book adaptations, even turning them into long-running series. Some of them leave a bit to be desired in terms of execution, but one that seems to be gaining traction is Firefly Lane, which eschews the small-town drama format and instead tells a decades-spanning tale about two friends who guide them through the heights and depths of their personal and professional relationships. Heigl is back in excellent form as Tully, the exuberant talk show host whose outgoing attitude masks some underlying weaknesses, while Chalke plays Kate, a recently divorced woman struggling to get back into work. Tully and Tully have been friends since they were 14 when Tully first moved across the street (the eponymous Firefly Lane), and it’s their friendship that keeps the series sustained even when other storylines are less interesting or enjoyable are.
